Trial of Bacchus
Conducted by the various Dancers, the trial of Bacchus may be attempted once per each UnMen. Essentially, it involves the ingestion of an unsettling large amount of wine from a liquor gourd held by a Dancer. The UnMan must successfully ‘hold his liquor’ with an Endurance check. Following this, which determines if the UnMen is buzzed or simply drunk, the UnMan must then engage in articulated dancing with one of the residents of the Dance Hall. The difficulty in doing this is determined by the UnMan’s intoxication. Depending on if the UnMan is successful or fails, he permanently gains up to 5 hit points or may similarly lose 5 hit points.
If an UnMan neglects to finish the challenge, the Dancers will descend en masse and beat him to death for his cowardice. A similar fate awaits any who tries to protect the quitter.
